On July 13, 1997, An Emergency Certificate of need was granted to the Clinton Co. Fiscal Court and the Clinton County E.M.S. was established. They initially were managed by a Management Company, until October 9th, 1998. At that time Clinton County Fiscal Court assumed the full operation of the Ambulance Services. After operating in three temporary locations, the Clinton County Empowerment Zone Board secured funds for a new building. The new building located at 100 Emergency Drive houses the Clinton County E.M.S., Clinton County 911 Dispatch Center, Clinton County Emergency Management & Air Evac Lifeteam. The building was occupied in May 2001 and is a great asset to the Citizens of Clinton County.
